Electrolytic corrosion has lower requirements for corrosion time and solution, and is better than chemical corrosion. It is divided into anode and cathode. Anode corrosion is to connect the plated parts to the anode, and the oxide is removed by the impact of oxygen bubbles at 50~60℃ , While the cathode erosion is the coating is connected to the cathode, the oxide is reduced by hydrogen, and the oxide layer is removed due to the impact of hydrogen overflow.
Anode erosion is the most commonly used method. However, for complex plated parts, there will be problems of excessive erosion and uneven erosion, while cathodic erosion will not cause excessive erosion, but hydrogen seepage and embrittlement will occur.

The electrolyte of electrochemical polishing is different from spotting corrosion, but the principle is the same. Electrochemical polishing has a better purification effect on the surface of metal. The plated part is connected to the anode, and the copper or steel whose area is more than 5 times larger than that of the plated part is connected to the cathode. , The distance between the two poles is 50~120mm, so that the electric field is concentrated to the high point to remove the oxide layer on the metal surface to achieve the effect of electrochemical polishing and purification. The surface of the metal plating will become very uniform and shiny.
